Wax Prep Specialist 6th Shift Internal & External Search

Job Summary:

Perform a variety of routine duties which involve a number of manual and other related operations to include department wax tank preparation, coloring wax, and similar designated duties requiring somewhat more complex operations. In addition, the Wax Prep Specialist will perform duties of a candle maker to support the production of all YCC candle styles as needed. Duties may include, interpreting schedules, calculating formulas, transferring raw materials, and using colorants. May use some manual and automated equipment including basic hand tools, temperature gauges, wax tanks, pumps, and hoses. Position also includes the use of raw materials such as ultraviolet inhibitors, paraffin wax, wax hardeners, fragrance oil, and various safety equipment. Minimum Requirements:

Previous candle making experience strongly preferred. Experience in following and executing cooking recipes, batch mixing, or manufacturing formulas very helpful.

Ability to match and discern colors, color gradations and scents required (Finalists will be administered a standard color vision test as part of the interview process).

Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills a must. Accuracy, thoroughness, and ability to prioritize are critical.

Demonstrated willingness to take on responsibility and work cooperatively with others as well as independently.

STATUS: Exempt, Full-Time Job Summary: The Productivity/Engineering Site Manager is responsible for the development and direction of the local engineering team. Motivates team to ensure the success of the department against current and future initiatives and challenges. Implement best practices and operate within established budgets. This role will report to the Sr. Manager Engineering for Home Fragrance and will be in Whately/South Deerfield, MA. Key Responsibilities:

Plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities and operations of the engineering team.

Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements and workflow. Communicates and coordinates with appropriate staff. Oversee the CAPEX projects and budgets, providing necessary resources to deliver on scheduled projects.

Drive and support PEAK (Newell’s improvement strategy – Performance, Engagement, Achievement, and Knowledge) and develop a strong understanding of the PEAK PACS (Processes, Applications, Capabilities, and Systems) to drive and maintain a culture of continuous improvement specifically through the engineering team and generally throughout the facility.

existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output. The successful candidate will provide both a reactive and

pro-active, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. This role is responsible for

scheduling plan creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out. Increase the site operational

effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement
