By July the Pinfol dsite will he virtually complete,and Chris WOOdhead decided ~otake this opportunity to lookat the past history of thePinfold, He reviews the controv-ersies and eVents that havebrought it to the stage reachedtoday.In 1~75 a TADES (Totley andDistrict Environment Society)committee member po~nted nutthat the1and alr~ady hadquite a history. Hap and docum-ents dating back more than 100years show that the Pinfoldw a s a public watering placefor cattle. Strays were keptthere until the owner made apayment to recover them.
