¢ April 6th to April 12th ¢ Days of school missed by students: 2 ¢ Why April?
With Keystone, AP Testing, and PMEA ensembles, April will give the majority of students to best opportunity to attend
Time out of school is limited by using several days from spring break
WHY HAWAII?
¢ Hawaii offers unique cultural experiences for students
¢ Performing in Hawaii will give students once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to share musical talents
¢ Students will have an opportunity to serve as cultural ambassadors to other students halfway around the world
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
¢ Students enrolled in a CHS performing ensemble are eligible for the trip All Choral Groups All Instrumental Groups All Jazz Bands Marching Band Color Guard
¢ Students must be in good academic standing ¢ Students enrolled in grades 9 through 12
TRAVEL ACCOMMODATIONS
¢ Students will be transported to Hawaii via commercial airlines.
¢ Once in Hawaii students will be transported by bus around Oahu
¢ Hotel accommodations will be on Waikiki Beach in Honalulu

¢ Instrumentalists – Performance on USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor, site of the Japanese surrender to U.S.

¢ Choral – Choral students will perform at the Kapolei Choral Festival
¢ The festival includes various choirs from Hawaii, with a special commission mass choir finale

Breakfast at hotel Morning activity - a hike up Diamond Head (on Trip advisor and AAA’ Must Do list) Visit to the world famous Waikiki Beach Pack your sunscreen Evening - Choir participates in the Kapolei Choral Festival
Day 3 Saturday April 8, 2017 ————————- Breakfast at hotel Travel to the Polynesian Cultural Center on the North Coast - Spend the day exploring the rich heritage of the Pacific Islands in 6 interactive Polynesian villages. Wander through 42 acres of tropical splendor and enjoy the adventure of traditional hands-on activities. Dine like royalty at an authentic Polynesian luau the most spectacular evening show in the islands, Ha: Breath of Life. Ali I Luau Polynesian Show Ha: Breath of Life

PM Workshop at University of Hawaii** , Workshop with USMC Band Pearl Harbor** Late afternoon at Waikiki Beach Final evening activity TBA

¢ Fundraising information is located in your packet ¢ We encourage ALL students to participate in the
fundraising campaign. ¢ Past students have fundraised MANY costs

Fundraising Opportunities
Acme gift cards are available year round in the amount of $100 each. The
cards may be used for all of your Acme purchases and 5% of the value is
credited to your student account.
When shopping at Amazon, use smile.amazon.com and choose
Treddyffrin Easttown Music Parents Organization for who you want to
support. A portion of your purchase will be donated to TEMPO.
Wawa coupons are available year round and cost $4.00 each. Coupons
may be redeemed for a shortie hoagie of your choice at any Wawa store.
For each coupon you purchase, your student account will be credited with
$1.00.
Giving Bean is freshly ground coffee manufactured by a local producer.
Specialty items like tea and cocoa are also available. Amount credited to
student account varies, depending on items purchased.
Candle Company is a locally owned family business that makes hand
poured, made to order, 100% soy wax candles. Amount credited to
student account varies.
SPA Car Wash coupons are available year round. SPA donates $5.00 to
TEMPO for every coupon that is redeemed. Coupon are free and good for
a a discount on their full service wash.
New this year! Music students that sell advertising space in the ‘Stoga
Showcase of Sound Program Book will earn a 10% commission on each
ad and sponsorship they sell. Amount credited to student accounts will
vary depending on the amount and size of the ads and sponsorships that
