    4. Update on Kill-A-Watt meters for the library

Logistics and meter ownership responsibility are an issue. Waiting for the Friends of the Medford Public Library.to vote to appropriate the

money for the kill-a-watts before approaching the Director The Director has likely been approached by people from the Librarians

Association about the project and will be amenable

The subcommittee will determine what guidelines we need based on what othercommunities are doing and make a recommendation to our committee, the Friends& the Library

[Addendum: Carey has since spoken with the Director who is amenable but

would like us to provide the guidelines discussed]

    6. New Business

Susan raised a program that she is working with several groups including MassEnergy and MCAN on. The idea is to encourage people to get audits of the type

currently performed by CSG through MassSave. These audits would be by Next

Step Living with support from Mass Energy Consumers Alliance. Committee

members and pros and cons of MassSave audits by CSG, but felt more

comfortable recommending NSL audits, paid for by the same program. She wouldlike to be able to issue a press release saying that the Medford Energy Committee

is in support of this. She will draft a press release for the committee to review andconsider.
