LL e film The mercy of the jungle(la miséricorde de la jungle) acaptivé les membres du jury

de la 26e édition du FESPACO. Aprèsavoir visionné les 20 films en licedans la catégorie long métrage, ils ontdécerné l’Etalon d’or de Yennenga auRwandais Joël Karekezi, réalisateurdu film de 90 minutes. le lauréat areçu son trophée à la cérémonie declôture du festival, le samedi 2 mars2019, des mains du président du Faso,Roch Marc Christian Kaboré et de sonhomologue du Rwanda, PaulKagamé, dont le pays est l’invité

d’honneur de cette 26e édition duFESPACO. En plus du trophée, M.Karekezi repart avec une enveloppede 20 millions FCFA. Le film retracele périple d’un héros de guerrerwandais et d’un jeune soldat prisdans des combats sans merci dans uneforêt d’enfer. Outre l’Etalon deYennenga, plusieurs réalisateurs ontinscrit leur nom au palmarès officielde cette biennale du cinéma africain.Joël Karekezi succède ainsi auSénégalais Alain Gomis, vainqueurdes deux éditions précédentes (2015et 2017).

Palmarès Le Rwandais Joël Karekezi, sacré Etalon d’orLa 26e édition du FESPACO a livré son verdict, le samedi 2 mars 2019, au palais des sportsde Ouaga 2000. Le Rwandais Joël Karekezi, avec son film The mercy of the jungle, s’esthissé sur la plus haute marche du podium en s’adjugeant le prestigieux Etalon d’or deYennenga.

Les chefs d’Etat burkinabè (à droite) et rwandaisont remis l’Etalon de Yennenga au lauréat, JoëlKarekezi.

Plusieurs réalisateurs ont reçu des prix spéciaux.

La cérémonie de clôture a été rehaussée par des prestations artistiques.

TT he film “The Mercy of theJungle” fascinated jurymembers of the 26th Edition

of FESPACO. After seeing the 20films in competition in the featurefilm category this year, they awardedthe Etalon d’Or de Yennenga toRwandan Joel Karekezi, director ofthe 90 minute film. The winnerreceived his trophy at the festivalclosing ceremony on Saturday 2March 2019 from President of FasoRoch Marc Christian Kabore and hisRwandan counterpart Paul Kagame,

whose country was Guest of Honourfor this edition. In addition to thetrophy Mr Karekezi returned homewith an envelope of CFA 20 million.The film recounts the journey of aRwandan war hero and a youngsoldier caught up in merciless battlesin a hellish forest. Besides the Etalond’Or de Yennenga, other prizes underthe official award-list of the Africanfilm biennale were given to severalfilmmakers. Joel Karekezi thussucceeded Senegalese Alain Gomiswinner of the previous two editions(2015 and 2017).

L’acteur principaldu nom de Adnan est unrévolutionnaire très attaché à«Nancy», qui n’est autre que sonfusil AK47. Cette étrange attentionà un objet est loin de plaire à sacompagne Lina, à qui il voueégalement un amour passionné.Malgré l’expiration de sonautorisation d’absence, Adnan tarde

à rejoindre son unité militaire. Soncommandant ordonne alors sonarrestation. Pris au dépourvu, lejeune rebelle se rapproche dupacifiste Absi afin de retrouver sonamoureuse et… sa fameuseKalachnikov. Réalisé avec brio,Akasha brise de manière irréversibleles représentations stéréotypées dela guerre et l’endurance descommunautés. AKasha est lapremière fiction réalisée en 2018par Hajooj Kuka. LLe long métrage «Regarde-moi»est de Nejib Belkahi. Il a étéprojeté le vendredi 1er mars

2019 au ciné Burkina. La quarantainebien sonnée, Lotfi, l’acteur principal dufilm est contraint de quitter la France etde rentrer en Tunisie, son pays natal. Eneffet, son ex-femme hospitalisée suite àun accident cardio-vasculaire (AVC), ila la lourde responsabilité de s’occuperde son fils autiste de 9 ans qu’il n’ajamais connu. Etablir un bon contact, sefaire accepter par un enfant souffrant detrouble psychiatrique et ouvrir celui-ciau monde extérieur est la difficileéquation que doit résoudre Lofti. Latâche n’est pas si aisée pour le pèremotivé à bloc qui perdra de temps à

autre son sang-froid. Lofti réussira toutde même à se faire comprendre,accepter par son fils et son entouragedans un pays où l’autisme est perçu

comme une maladie maléfique.D’origine turque et installé en Tunisie,le réalisateur Nejib Belkadhi est à sontroisième film.

2019 at cine Burkina. In his 40s, themain actor, Lotfi is obliged to leaveFrance and returned to Tunisia hishome country. Actually, his ex wife ishospitalized following a stroke and hehas the heavy responsibility to takecare of his 9 year autistic son he hasnever known. Establishing a contact,making himself accepted by a childsuffering from psychiatric disorderand opening him to the external worldis the difficult equation Lotfi has tosolve. The task is not so easy for thefather who was well motivated then

lost his temper now and then. Lotfiwill eventually succeed in makinghimself understood and accepted byhis son and people around him in a

country where autism is consideredan evil disease. Lotfi, is the third filmby filmmaker, Nejib Belkadhi ofTurkish origin and living in Tunisia.

mode, le vendredi 1er mars àOuagadougou, pour célébrer les 50ans du Festival panafricain du cinémaet de la télévision de Ouagadougou(FESPACO). La soirée a débuté parune parade en hommage à tous lescinéastes qui ont remporté l’Etalond’or de Yennenga. Le défilé a réuniune dizaine de jeunes créateurs et destylistes expérimentés venus duBurkina, du Rwanda, de la Côted’Ivoire, du Bénin et du Mali. Chaquepays défilant a présenté descollections de modèles faits à base detissus de son terroir. «Cette cérémoniemarque la renaissance du défilé auFESPACO. Car, la mode est liée aucinéma. Mamba raconte l’histoire de Sarra, unejeune tunisienne de la classe moyennequi mène en apparence une vie

ordinaire que sa mère lui atracée. «Elle prend des coursde couture et s’apprête àépouser un gentil garçon. MaisSarra a d’autres plansinavoués, à travers lesquelselle veut échapper à sa vieactuelle», lit-on dans lesynopsis du film. But Sarrahas a hidden agenda by whichshe intends to get away fromher present life”, the filmsynopsis reads. l’image et du son (ISIS). Laformation, Master ClassInternationale, a été dispenséepar le professeur de cinéma del’Université de Californie duSud, D.J. Johnson. Au cours de la formation, lesbénéficiaires ont réalisé descourts métrages portant surl’environnement, la technologie

en faisant une projection surl’Afrique de 2049. Lereprésentant de l’ambassade desEtats-Unis d’Amérique auBurkina Faso, Daniel Mark, aencouragé les participants àpartager les connaissancesreçues. Il a promis de poursuivrece type de formation quiintervient après celle de 2017.

2019 au ciné Burkina à la séance de20h30. D’une durée de 102 minutes,Fatwa dépeint la situation religieuseen Tunisie où l’on retrouve un islammodéré opposé à un islam radical. Lefilm retrace l’histoire d’un père quirevient dans son pays natal pourl’enterrement de son fils mort dansun accident de moto. Il découvrealors que son fils Marouane militaitdans un groupe islamiste radical. Ildécide de mener son enquête pourdécouvrir les raisons de laradicalisation de son fils. D’uneminute à l’autre, Ben Mohmoundmène le spectateur dans les méandres

de l’extrémisme religieux. D’uneactualité brûlante, Fatwa auraégalement eu le mérite de mettre à nu

un sujet à la fois sensible et considérécomme l’un des pires fléaux du 21esiècle.
