What is the bondage of action?

This freedom from the bondage of

actions is possible when you are doing

everything for Krishna. The person doing

Krishna conscious acts out of pure love for

the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and

therefore he has no attraction for the results

of the action. The people who carry out their

duties according to gods command and also

follow this teaching faithfully become free

from the bondage of silent actions. You

cannot attain your spiritual goal by

nonperformance or by the rejection of

actions.

Nobody in the world can remain

unengaged for even a second in activity

because everyone is made to act by the

character of matter. Whoever having

controlled his organs of action still continues

to brood over the objects of senses is called

a fraud. Krishna's advice to Arjuna turns from

a discussion to a viewpoint of action.

People cannot attain spiritual

progress just by rejection of his/her desires

alone; in addition to denial, there must be

action. For example, suppose you have

stolen something with your own hands. In

this instance there is no doubt that you have

committed an act of theft. Thinking you will

be caught you arrange for the people to

believe that you didn’t do the crime but an

innocent person who did absolutely nothing

did the crime. You sill are doing the crime

behind the scenes. If you think that you will

not suffer the horrible consequences for a

theft committed mentally, you are wrong.

You will face the consequences and suffer

forever even when the consequences are

over.

Cooking Camp

“The camp was indeed a superb introduction to cooking and the perfect way to enhance our tastes! It was truly a great way to learn while interacting with other Balabhavan members and having piles of fun! In fact, we covered a wide range of dishes from the various cuisines all over India – extending from Northern paani puri and Kannadiga kosamri to Pazhani panchaamrutam and Bombay sandwich - in just 3 hours –! Many many thanks to Smt. Nithya Sudhakar and Smt. Seetha Janakiraman for this wonderful hands-on cooking experience! The cooking camp is a huge success!” …….. Kamakshi Ramanarayan
