This speech took place during the 105th Session of the International Labor Conference «
Building a future with decent work ». This assessment of the current migrant workers’ status,
worldwide and more specifically in Latin America, enabled us on the one hand to
acknowledge the progress already made in some countries, thanks to the help of the ILO,
and on the other hand to draw attention to the remaining efforts that must be put in to
improve their situation.
