(English) FECIF enters a new era
A number of changes have recently taken place in the FECIF Executive, as it enters a very important stage in its development and Facing many consultations at the UE level. For many years Vincent Derudder has been one of the main driving forces behind the Federation’s growth and development, helping to turn it into arguably the most important pan-European trade body. Following Mr Derudder’s recent retirement, David Charlet has become the new Chairman, with Johannes Muschik now taking on the role of Deputy Chairman. In addition to his FECIF role, Mr Charlet is the President of ANACOFI (1), the main French national association for financial advisors and intermediaries that he helped to found in 2004. Mr Muschik is also Chairman of AFPA (2), the Austrian Financial & Insurance Professionals Association. As part of these changes, Paul Stanfield has been voted in as the new FECIF Secretary General. Mr Stanfield has been the CEO of FEIFA (3) since its launch in August 2009 and will also continue in that role, combining the two responsibilities.
(Français) FECIF entre dans une nouvelle ère L’exécutif de la Fédération Européenne des Conseils Financiers vient d’être remanié, au moment où nous entrons dans une phase cruciale de son développement et où nous faisons face à un grand nombre de consultations européennes. Pendant de nombreuses années, Vincent Derudder aura été l’âme de la FECIF et le garant de son développement et de son action, en faisant le plus important organe de représentation pan-européen de nos métiers. Suite au non renouvellement volontaire de son mandat, le Conseil des Directeurs a élu David CHARLET Président et Johannes MUSCHIK, Vice-Président. En plus de ses fonctions au sein de la FECIF, Monsieur Charlet est Président de l’ANACOFI, la plus importante association française de représentation des Conseils et Intermédiaires Financiers, créée en 2004. Monsieur Muschik est pour sa part, Président de l’AFPA, principale association autrichienne, lancée en 2009. Pour compléter cette évolution, Paul Stanfield a été élu Secrétaire Général. Il est et restera pour sa part, le Délégué Général de la FEIFA (Grande-Bretagne).

FECIF (The European Federation of Financial Intermediaries and Financial Advisers) is a Brussels-based non-profit organization, chartered in June 1999 for the defence and promotion of the role of financial advisers and intermediaries in Europe. FECIF recently added the protection of consumers as one of its points of interest.
