QE : What is a double/joint degree program?

AI : Program yang memungkinkan untuk memperoleh gelar sarjana

dari BINUS dan bachelor degree dari universitas partner.

AE : A double/joint degree program is a program that is carried out

by two different universities in which the student is expected to

complete two programs in a regular time period. The program

will allow you to complete a degree from BINUS UNIVERSITY

and a degree from a partner university.

QI : Apa keuntungan dari program double/joint degree?

QE : What are the benefits of a double/joint degree program?

AI : Ada beberapa keuntungan dari program double/joint degree, yaitu:

1. Memungkinkan untuk kamu mendapatkan perspektif studi (visual) yang berbeda dari setiap negara.

2. Memungkinkan untuk mendapatkan suasana belajar yang berbeda dari setiap negara.

3. Kesempatan untuk memperluas networking dari setiap negara.

4. Kesempatan untuk mempelajari kebiasaan lokal , kebudayaan, setiap negara.

more than one academic advisor.

that community by joining the traditional activities.

QI : Apa tantangan dari program double/joint degree?

QE : What are the challenges of a double/joint degree program?

AI : Tantangan yang dihadapi adalah proses belajar, tugas kuliah dan studi

kamu akan menjadi dua kali lipat. Selain itu juga, dengan sistem pendidikan

yang berbeda mungkin akan sulit untuk beradaptasi, dan akan mengalami

masa-masa sulit namun begitu hal tersebut akan membantu kamu untuk

belajar bagaimana mengatasi masa sulit, dan terbiasa dengan lingkungan

yang benar-benar baru.

AE : The challenges of a double/joint degree program are you will have twice the

workload and studies in order to successfully complete the two programs in a

shorter period. Additionally, differences in education systems may make it

hard to adapt and may cause you difficulties, but this will help you to learn

how to deal with obstacles and become accustomed to an entirely new

environment.

QI : Bagaimana jika saya ingin mengikuti program double/joint degree?

QE : What should I do if I’m interested in taking a double/joint degree

program?

AI : Terdaftar sebagai mahasiswa aktif BINUS university

international dan sudah melakukan pemilihan streaming

yang sesuai, dan menyelesaikan semua mata kuliah di BINUS.

AE : Register as a BINUS university international student and

choose your streaming in the certain semester, and complete all

BINUS subjects before you leave.

QI : Bagaimana cara untuk melakukan pemilihan streaming?

QE : What should I do if I want to choose my streaming?

AI : Pemilihan streaming akan dilakukan pada periode tertentu, untuk

detail informasi kamu bisa datang ke bagian student services BINUS,

AE : The streaming selections are done in certain periods. For more

information, you may come to the BINUS Student Services, or email:

infoservices@binus.edu.

QI : Jika saya ada mata kuliah gagal selama di BINUS apakah saya

tetap bisa berangkat double/joint degree?

QE : If I have failed some subjects, am I still eligible to take a double

/joint degree?

AI : Jika ada mata kuliah yang gagal kamu bisa mengambilnya saat

semester pendek (compact) sebelum berangkat double/ joint

degree. Dan kamu bisa diskusi dengan head of program kamu.

AE : If you have any failed subjects you need to retake them in the

compact semester before you leave, and please dicuss with

your head of program.

QI : Apa perbedaan antara double/joint degree dengan study abroad/student

exchange?

QE : What is the difference between a double/joint degree and study abroad/

student exchange?

AI : Perbedaannya yaitu, perkuliahan study abroad /student exchange selama

1 atau 2 semester tidak mendapatkan gelar dari universitas partner, sedangkan

double/joint degree minimal selama 2 sampai 4 semester untuk mendapatkan

bachelor degree dari universitas partner.

AE : The difference is, for (study abroad/student exchange) your study duration is 1

or 2 semesters, and you will not be granted a degree from a partner university

while for a double/ joint degree your study duration is 2 to 4 semesters and

you will be able to receive a Bachelor's Degree from a partner university.

QE : Which semester should I do my double/ joint degree?

AI : Kalian bisa check dalam study plan kalian didalam new binusmaya.

Karena semua tergantung streaming yang sudah kalian pilih.

QI : Jika anak saya melakukan double/joint degree, apakah

akan tetap lulus tepat waktu?

QE : If my child takes a double/joint degree, will he/she still be

able to graduate on time?

AI : Double/joint degree tidak akan menghambat kelulusan

tepat waktu, selama semua mata kuliah lulus.

AE : A double degree will not hinder your child's ability to

graduate on time, as long as he/she passes all the

subjects.

QI : Jika saya double/ joint degree apakah saya tetap harus

mengerjakan thesis/skripsi?

QE : If I’m taking a double/joint degree, is a thesis still required?

AI : Ya, tetap harus mengerjakan thesis. Mengerjakan di partner

university, mengerjakan di BINUS, atau online thesis.

AE : Yes, it is still required. You can do it at a partner university, at

BINUS, or an online thesis.

QI : Apakah saya tetap membutuhkan academic IELTS/TOEFL

untuk program double/joint degree?

QE : Is an academic IELTS/TOEFL IBT compulsory for a double/

joint degree program?

AI : Ya, untuk beberapa negara academic IELTS/TOEFL IBT tetap
