En Autriche où la nature est particulièrement préservée et la qualité de vie reconnue comme la meilleure au monde depuis dix ans, l’agriculture biologique a une longue tradition. Avec 24,8 % de ses surfaces agricoles certifiées bio, soit une exploitation sur cinq, l’Autriche est actuellement la championne incontestée du bio en Europe. Les conversions sont en constante augmentation et pour 2030, le pays se donne pour objectif d’augmenter sa surface agricole biologique à 30%. En accord avec ses engagements écolo-giques, l’Autriche est aussi le premier pays d’Europe à avoir interdit en juillet 2019 l’utilisation du glyphosate sur son territoire.
L’alimentation biologique génère un chiffre d’affaire de 1,9 milliards d’euros en Autriche, dont 7% part à l’exportation.
En 2018, les exportations de produits alimentaires autrichiens vers la France ont atteint 177 millions d’euros (+ 8,5 %), faisant de la France notre 7e partenaire commercial agro-alimentaire à l’échelle mondiale.
Le Bio autrichien expose pour la première fois à Natexpo Paris avec 13 sociétés dans le hall 7(E 160 –F 179).

Austria, the organic champion, is waiting to meet you at Natexpo Paris. In Austria, where nature is well-preserved and the quality of life has topped the world rankings for a decade, organic farming has a rich tradition. 24.8% of the country’s total farmland is managed organically and one in five agricultural holdings holds organic certification – making Austria the unrivalled organic champion of Europe. The changeover to organic farming is continuing apace and Austria is on course to meet its target of making 30% of total farmland organic by 2030. In line with its commitment to environ-mental protection, Austria also happens to be the first country in Europe to have banned the use of glyphosate within its borders as of July 2019. In Austria organic food and drinks generate turnover of EUR 1.9 bn; 7% of Austrian production is exported. In 2018, Austrian food and drinks worth EUR 177 m (+8.5%) were exported to France, making France our seventh most important global trading partner in the food sector. Austria is presenting at Natexpo Paris for the first time with 13 companies in Hall 7 (E 160 – F 179).
