We offer thanks for Thy loving care, and
for the privilege of being a teacher.
Let my mind be clear and my hand
steady,
My word kind and my smile ready,
And may I never fail to see
Thy face in all humanity.

LEGISLATION
The Governor is talking about bringing back Bill SB 2402 which is the one the retired
teachers won the lawsuit on. Now it is being aimed at the ACTIVE teachers working on
decreasing COLA pay and healthcare benefits when they retire. However retired teachers
need to be on the alert as our healthcare could be affected – He may want to increase pre-
miums or cut benefits because he believes our insurance program is a “CADILLAC”
plan and he doesn’t believe we deserve this kind of care. ( Taken from the latest informa-
tion from IRTAPAC)
Illinois was the 3rd state chartered to Alpha Delta Kappa on May 20, 1950.
