Spring is here and this can only
mean the beginning of another
road running season in NB. If
2011 is anything like f(unNB
2010, we could see runners out
in record numbers.
In 2010, RunNB Inducted two
more runners, Patty Blanchard
and George Gallant into its Hall
Fame. The 2nd Annual Runners
Banquet hosted by Saint John,
was a big success, just ask
anyone who attended.
This year, the Fredericton Capital
City F{oad F(unners will host the
3rd Annual banquet at the end of
the running season in November.
Come on out and participate in
the many running events llsted in
the F(unNB's 2011 Calendar.

Le printemps est arrive apportant avec
lui uno nouvelle saison de course sur
route ici au NB. Si la saison de course
2011 s'annonce aussi profuse que
cells de I.ann6e derniere nous
devrions d6pacer notre record en
terms du nombre de coureurs.
En 2011, CourseNB a reconnu deux
autres coureurs a son temple de la
renomm6e, Patty Blanchard et George
Gallant. Le 2e banquet annuel des
coilreurs qui se tenait a Saint Jean,
flit un reel succ6s, les participants
peuvent y attester.
Le club de course "The Fredericton
Capital City F(Cad Runners" sera l'h6te
du 3e banquet annuel qui se tiendra
au mois de novembre 2011.

Welcome to the2011 llew Bi'umswiokRoad Racing Series
There are 50 exclting races which form the
NB Racing Circuit More than 20 ot those
races are designated as Running Room
Super Series where runners will accumulate
polnts towards the Provincial Standings Asresults are received, points are complled and
will be posted on the Run NB web site.
Runners wlll receive points only for the main
race of a Super Senes event.
Points wlll be calculated based on tlnlsh
position within each age category (see list of
categories below). Polnts will be awarded to
the top 24 runners in each age category See
the point tables for positions and values. In
the event 2 or more runners finish the
season with an equal number of points, the
runner achleving the best time at the loK
dlstance wlll wln the tie.
Fiiinners will remain in the same age
category for the entlre season, based upon
ttlelr age as of December 31, 2011.

on Run NB's website (www.mnnb.ca)

Wliat is the Timer Road Race Series?
lt is a series of s'ix races chosen by Run NB which are used to select NB's top distance runners
and award prizes.

How are points accumulated?
For each race, points w"I be awarded as follows first will be worth 50 points, second is 45
points, 3rd place is 40 points, 4th is 35 points, 5th is 30 points, 6th is 29 points, etc. The runnerwho has the highest total points accumulated wll be declared the Tlmex SeTies winner.

towards yoiith participation in the road races that
take place during the RunNB season (late April to
earlyNovember).
At lrvlng Oil, the health and wellness Of Its
employees and community are core values. Over
the years the company has sponsored many
active living programs and sports for youth, from
the Run, Jump, Throw Program to the annual
Bantam AAA hockey champion-
ship, the lrving Oil Challenge
Cup. Irving Oil ls proud to offer
the Kids Livewell program to
young runners throughoiit NewBrunswick.
Any race organizer of a RunNB-
sanctloned event can otter lrving
Oil's Kids livewell run. The Kids

Livewell run is for distances of
lK to 3K and is open to runners 14 years of age
and under. Event organizers may establish multi-
ple age categories, as long as all participants arewlthin the given age IImit, Youth cannot particl-
pate ln both lrvlng Oil's Kids Livewell run andanother dlstance at the same event
lrvlng Oil's Kids Livewell run is a fun event
fooused on particlpatlon, not competition. As
such, all participants will be presented with Kids
Livewell medals, and no standings or mone-
tary/year-endprizeswillbegiven.
As an incentive for offering lrving Oll's Kids
Livewell run, event organizers will not be charged
a race day fee by RunNB, and RunNB will supply
all bibs, medals and the race clock.
