    Welcome everyone; thank you for coming today to give your

    love, support, and strength to the family of Peggy Huffman.

    Peggy is the loving daughter of Lee & Grace Harvey; who loved

    and raised her to be a strong, honorable, and loving person.

    Peggy started life out as a part of my family; but my family was

    not the family to give Peg what she needed to become the

    woman GOD intended her to be. So GOD gave Peg and her

    sister Pam a better family that could provide those things. Lee &

    Grace gave these two girls stability, and quality of life that they

    otherwise would not have received; had they continued as a part

    of my family. Not only did Lee & Grace give Peg & Pam love;

    They taught them how to love and to be a real family. That is

    why Peg and her children are so close; because Lee and Grace

    taught her family value; and she taught her children.

    Peg is the wife of Don Huffman; Peggy was Dons life; and Don

    was hers. With Crystals help, and others; Don took care of

    Peggy as long as he could; until his body said enough. Then it

    was with regret that he took her where others could continue her

    care and he could spend the last bit of time she had just being

    her husband.

    Peggy was not angry at this turn of events though; she

    understood the toll her care had taken on Don and her family.

    But true to form; Peggy was not at all ready to let go of her

    loved ones. The nurses had later told Don that Peg had said to

    them I have to start eating so I can get better and go back

    home. Then Don will be able to take care of me.

    Peggy is the mother of three beautiful daughters; Crystal

    Reisinger Hadden, Kim Myers, and Cindy Heller; who are just

    as strong, loyal, and full of life, as Peg was. They are the seeds

    of Pegs immortality.

    Peg lives on through Crystal and her husband Cory Hadden.

    Crystal like Peggy is sensitive and loyal. Giving and sacrificing

    to the end for her mothers sake; as her mother would gladly

    have done for her. Cory was the son that Peg never had. Peggy

    and Cory got along so well, and so naturally; they were as close

    as any mother and son could be.

    Peg lives on through Kim and her husband Chris Myers. Kim is

    so much like her mom; strong, proud, unrelenting. Peg and Kim

    were so alike that it couldnt be avoided; sometimes they failed

    It is with great love and pride that Peg passes these to Cindy;

    because it is these traits that not only keep Peg alive, but keep

    her family alive as well.

    Peg will continue to live on through all her grandchildren; Justin

    Heller, Brandon Heller, and Tyler Heller, also through Austin

    Myers, and Christina Myers; and someday through the children

    of Cory and Crystal Hadden; and even after them; through their

    children, and their childrens children.

    All these people are Pegs family, they being everything Pegis

    and more; are the primary source of Pegs immortality. But they

    are not the only source. Peg also lives on in the memories of

    others.

    Peg has a sister; Pam. All Pam has known from birth is Peg; her

    big sister. They have a connection that only sisters share or

    understand. When Pam was down and in need; Peg was there.

    When Peg was ill; Pam knew. Pam knew and loved Peg longer

    than anyone here. Now she as everyone here; faces the difficult

    task of going on alone without Pegs physical presence. Not an

    easy task; but Pam; Peg also gave to you some of her strength,

    and zest for life just as she did everyone here in some little way.

    Draw on that, use it, Live like she lived; with Joy, Loyalty,

    Love, and a zest for life that could only be her. You do that and

    she will live on through you too.

    There are other memories that will keep Peg alive and living on

    for eternity. There are the memories of my wife, my daughter,

    and myself. You see; I never met Peg until I was 16 years old;

    but I already knew all about her. From the time I was able to

    comprehend speech my dad talked of nothing else. I grew up

    hearing of Peg and Pams beginnings on a daily basis. I dreamed

    of the day I would meet them in person, and get to know each

    other as a brother and sisters should know each other.

    That day finally come; and peg looked exactly as I had pictured

    her from my dads stories. I only saw her that day for 15 20

    minutes; then I didnt see her again until 21/2 years ago when I

    performed Crystal and Corys wedding. Peg and I caught up on

    a lifetime that day. It is because of those two brief meetings and

    a lifetime of stories that Peg will also live on in my memory and

    those of my wife and daughter as well as our future generations.

    And even that is not the end of Pegs achievements,

    contributions, and influences in life. Peg is also survived by a

    very loyal and loving companion; or better stated in my opinion;

    great friend. This friend is called Wimpy. Cory tells me that

    anything written about Peg would not be complete unless

    Wimpy is mentioned. Wimpy stayed by Pegs side as much as

    Don and Crystal did. Wimpy would not leave her. When Peg lay

    down; wimpy was there to cuddle, comfort and protect her. Now

    that Peg is no longer there; Wimpy is lost, confused, and

    depressed. Just as are the rest of those Peg touched. A more

    loyal companion you would be hard pressed to find.

    Things that Peg loved that will keep her living in those whose

    lives she touched: Humming birds, walks at two mile, being

    outside, and taking pictures of nature. Peg loved animals,

    laughing, joking, and having fun. Cory remembers that Peg

    loved to sit with Sam & Dot Frants on their porch just talking

    and enjoying the weather and nature; Life was not life without

    this interaction for Peg. But most of all; Peg loved GOD. Peg is

    a born again Christian, her entire life and everything she did

    centered around her lord and savior Jesus. And on January 29 th,

    2014; Peg received her great long awaited reward for her loyal

    service to him.

    All these; Peg passed to her children, family, and friends. And it

    is through these and the love of them that we all will present Peg

    with a well-earned and much deserved immortality.

    Pegs favorite song was The Rose by Bette Midler; in that song

    it says that the soul afraid of dying never learns to live. Peg

    surely was not afraid of dying because she definitely knew how

    She died peacefully with crystal and I by her side.She didn't

    suffer as it occurred. She was breathing; and she tried to say

    something but couldn't. I asked her if she wanted some water;

    and she shook her head yes. Her eyes were just blank not

    moving. She took a couple breaths and stepped peacefully into

    her new life, I asked GOD to not let her suffer at the end; and

    there was no suffering.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    It was Pegs calm and unwavering strength in moments like this
    all through her life that led Crystal to proudly proclaim my
    mom is my rock.
    And Peg truly was a rock in the way she lived life; and
    demonstrated that life for others. Peg could have been bowled
    over many times by hardships and the challenges of life. But she
    wasnt; she just took it all in stride. She rarely got, excited,
    angry, or scared; she just looks the situation straight in the face
    calmly and steps in. But I also have to give credit where credit is
    due; GOD have mercy on anyone who gets in her way of
    stepping in or gives her problems of any sort.
    And finally; Crystal requested that I read the poem Footprints in
    the sand for her Mama. I will read Footprints, and then there will
    be a moment for each to reflect on his or her own memories of
    Peggy and her life. Then we will close in prayer and those who
    wish to; will meet at the grave site in Franklin Cemetery for the
    interment.
    Father in heaven
    We come before you today; each one seeking comfort, and
    guidance as we begin the next chapter of our lives; as we take
    hold of the legacy that Peg has left for each of us. Up to this
    point; Peg has been a physical influence in each of our lives and
    has taught and provided to us; so much of what you have
    instilled in her being. Now she will be a spiritual influence to
    each person here. She will guide and lead us from her place by
    your side; lovingly giving us your instruction and teaching. We
    ask father that you give us comfort as we begin this journey
    without Pegs physical presence. Give us strength as we work
    our way through the grieving process. Give us wisdom to take
    what Peg has provided and carry it onward into the future. And
    most of all father we ask for courage; to go on when all we want
    is to give up. Help us father to carry Pegs memory into
    "The Rose"
    Some say love, it is a river
    That drowns the tender reed.Some say love, it is a razor
    That leaves your soul to bleed.
    Some say love, it is a hunger,
    An endless aching need.
    I say love, it is a flower,
    And you its only seed.
    It's the heart afraid of breaking
    That never learns to dance.
    It's the dream afraid of waking
    That never takes the chance.
    It's the one who won't be taken,
    Who cannot seem to give,
    And the soul afraid of dying'
    That never learns to live.
    When the night has been too lonely
    And the road has been too long,
    And you think that love is onlyFor the lucky and the strong,
    Just remember in the winter
    Far beneath the bitter snows
    Lies the seed that with the sun's love
    In the spring becomes the rose.
