The coin is rectangular in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coin’s edge is not reeded.

The obverse has: in the top left-hand part – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus and a circumferential inscription: ÐÝÑÏÓÁËIÊÀ ÁÅËÀÐÓÑÜ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); in the center – the image of a palette with a fragment of the painter’s painting «Gold of Birches» reproduced with the help of pad-printing technique; beneath – denomination: 20 ÐÓÁ˨¡ (20 RUBLES), year of issue, and alloy standard.

The reverse has: on the top – an inscription: ÏÀÂÅË ÌÀÑËÅͲÊÀ¡ (PAVEL MASLENIKAU); in the center – the relief image of the fragment of the Ostroshitskoe Ozero (Lake of Ostroshitskij Gorodok) paining; on the right – the relief image of the painter’s self-portrait; beneath – the author’s signature and years of life: 1914–1995.

gold, 1,000 rubles – June 2, 2014; silver, 500 rubles – June 12, 2014.

The coins are rectangular in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coins’ edge is reeded.

The obverse has: at the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus and the inscription in two lines: ÐÝÑÏÓÁËIÊÀ ÁÅËÀÐÓÑÜ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); in the center – the ornamental pattern in the form of a grapevine symbolizing the Theotokos, within the pattern – the representation of the cross which was erected in the territory of Zaslavl’s stronghold to commemorate the thousandth anniversary of the Orthodox Church in Belarus, and the alloy standard; and at the bottom – the denomination: 20 ÐÓÁ˨¡ (20 RUBLES) and 500 ÐÓÁ˨¡ (500 RUBLES) on silver coins, 50 ÐÓÁ˨¡ (50 RUBLES) and 1000 ÐÓÁ˨¡ (1,000 RUBLES) on gold coins, and the year of issue to the right of the denomination.

The obverse has: at the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus and the circumferential inscription: ÐÝÑÏÓÁËIÊÀ ÁÅËÀÐÓÑÜ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); in the center – a fragment of the new building housing the Belarusian State Museum of History of the Great Patriotic War located in Minsk and the sky above it, on the silver coin – a hologram showing the festive fireworks; and beneath –the year of issue on the right-hand side, the alloy standard on the left-hand side, and the denomination in the center: 20 ÐÓÁ˨¡ (20 RUBLES) on the silver coin and 1 ÐÓÁÅËÜ (1 RUBLE) on the copper-nickel one.

The obverse has: in the center – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus, and above is the circumferential inscription: ÐÝÑÏÓÁËIÊÀ ÁÅËÀÐÓÑÜ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), in the centre of the circle – decorative composition in the form of a flower with four petals that depicts the plants of the series; at the bottom – the denomination: 20 ÐÓÁ˨¡ (20 RUBLES) on the silver coins and 1 ÐÓÁÅËÜ (1 RUBLE) on the copper-nickel coin, on the left side of the denomination – the year of issue, on the right side – the alloy standard (on the silver coin).

The reverse has: in the center – the relief decorative image of the Least Moonwort, on the left and on the right side of which the enlarged fragments of its stem with its distinctive features are depicted; circumferential inscriptions – at the top BOTRYCHIUM SIMPLEX, at the bottom – ÃÐÀÇÄO¡ÍIÊ ÏÐÎÑÒÛ (LEAST MOONWORT).
