Das „S“-ModellIm Gegensatz zum SteriSet Normalmodell, bei dem Innen- und Schutz deckel gemein-sam abgenommen werden, erlaubt die Variante S-Modell das Öffnen in zwei Stufen: Nach Abnahme des äußeren Schutzdeckels ist der innere, saubere Deckel noch ver-schlos sen. Dieser kann nun, z.B. innerhalb des OP-Raumes, ohne Gefahr der Umgebungs- oder Inhaltskontamination geöffnet werden – aseptische Präsentation quasi integriert.

The ”S”-modelOther than in case of the normal type of SteriSet, where inner- and outer lid are handled as one piece when opening the con tainer, the ”S”-type allows opening in two steps: after opening of the outer, unperforated lid the now exposed, clean inner lid is still sealed to the bottom. This dust free inner lid may now be taken off as a second step without risk to whirl up sedi mented particles and/or contaminate the surrounding atmosphere. Aseptic opening by design.

Le modèle « S »Contrairement au modèle standard du SteriSet, pour lequel les couvercles interne et externe sont solidaires lors de l’ouverture du conteneur, le modèle «S» propose une ouverture en deux temps:1. Après ouverture du couvercle externe (non perforé), le second couvercle reste scellé au bac. 2. Ce couvercle interne, propre, peut alors être déverrouillé sans risque aucun de soulever des particules résiduelles qui pourraient contaminer l’atmosphère environnante.

Plombieren oder ThermoLoc?Anstelle einer manuellen Versiegelung mittels Einwegplomben bieten SteriSet Container mit ThermoLoc eine automatische Versiege-lung durch Temperatureinwirkung (Sterilisa-tion).Das Entsiegeln, Öffnen und Rücksetzen er-folgt einfach durch manuelles Hochschieben des roten Versiegelungsriegels in den Ver-schluss.

Disposable ”Tamper seals” or ThermoLoc?In place of manual sealing using single-use seals, SteriSet containers with ThermoLoc offer automatic sealing by means of tempera-ture effect (sterilisation). Unsealing, opening and resetting can easily be carried out by manually pushing up the red sealing bar into the closure.

Plombage ou ThermoLoc?Au lieu de recourir à un scellage manuel au moyen de plombs de verrouillage à usage unique, les conteneurs SteriSet offrent avec ThermoLoc un verrouillage automatique sous l’action de la chaleur (stérilisation). Le déverrouillage, l’ouverture et la réinitialisation se font en repoussant le loquet rouge de ver-rouillage (le témoin de sécurité rouge) vers le haut pour l’introduire dans son logement.

Filter oder Ventil?SteriSet Container sind wahlweise in Einweg-Papier-Filter- oder patentierter Mehrweg-Ventilversion erhältlich. SteriSet Ventil-Container werden automatisch, durch die Druckwechsel im Sterilisator gesteuert und erfordern keine Ver-brauchsmaterialien. Es kann nichts vergessen werden (Filter-wechsel, Filterintervall), man spart Kosten, Zeit und Abfall.

in the sterilizer and require no additional materials. Nothing can be forgotten (filter change, filter spacing), time and money are saved and waste is reduced.

Filtre ou soupape?Les conteneurs SteriSet sont disponibles dans la version filtre en papier à usage unique ou dans la version soupapes multi-usages (brevetée). Les conteneurs SteriSet à soupape sont actionnés automatiquement par des changements de pression dans le stérilisateur et ne nécessitent pas de produ-its consommables. Plus d’oublis possible, plus de changement du filtre donc diminu-tion des coûts, plus de gaspillages (plus de déchets) et gains de temps.

Kondensat-Ableiter Bei jeder Dampfsterilisation wird physika-lisch zwangsläufig Kondensat gebildet undin den Behälterwannen gesammelt. Geschlos-sene Standard-Aluminium-Wannen erlauben eine ausreichende Rückverdampfung des Kondensats bis etwa 10 kg Beladegewicht. Für höhere Beladegewichte oder andere erschwerende Umstände (Nassdampf, ältere Anlage etc.) empfehlen wir einen thermi-schen Kondensatableiter. Ein thermisch

gesteuertes Ventil im Wannenboden erlaubt die Ableitung von Kondensat aus der Wanne während der Sterilisation. Das Trocknungs-ergebnis der Container wird deutlich ver-bessert.

Zur Benutzung bei 121°C- und 134 °C-Pro-grammen ist die neue Ausführung „PCD 034“ erhältlich – siehe Seiten 6/7 und 28/29.

Condensate drainWith every steam sterilisation, physical pro-cesses lead to the inevitable formation of condensate, which collects in the container bottom. Closed standard aluminium bottoms allow sufficient reverse vaporisation of the condensate up to a load of approx. 10 kg. For loads above 10 kg or other aggravating circumstances (wet steam, older equipment etc.) we recommend a thermal condensate drain. A thermally controlled valve in the bottom allows the condensate to drain out of the container during sterilisation. The drying ability of the container is considerably improved.

For use with 121 °C and 134 °C programs, the new version ”PCD 034” is available – see pages 6/7 and 28/29.

Purgeur thermiqueChaque stérilisation à la vapeur entraîne automatiquement, de par la réaction phy-sique même du procédé, une condensation d’eau qui sera recueillie dans un bac. Des conteneurs standards en aluminium con-tenant une charge d’environ 10 kg permet-tent une revaporisation suffisante de l’eau condensée. Pour les charges excédentaires de 10 kg ou autres circonstances difficiles (vapeurs humides, installations anciennes etc.), nous conseillons l’emploi d’un purgeur thermique. Une soupape actionnée ther-miquement permet de faire s‘écouler l’eau condensée du bac au moment de la stéri-lisation. Le séchage des conteneurs s’en trouve nettement amélioré.

Pour utilisation avec les programmes 121°C et 134 °C, la nouvelle version «PCD034» est dispo-nible – voir pages 6/7 et 28/29.

Kondensatableitung auf den (blauen) Punkt gebrachtSpeziell die Sterilisation schwerer Ladun-gen – aber auch mangelnde Dampfqualität – erhöhen bekanntlich die Wahrscheinlich-keit, dass in einem Steril-Container nach Programmende Restkondensat (Wasser) verbleibt.

Seit über 20 Jahren bietet WAGNER für diese Fälle ein spezielles temperaturgesteuertes Kondensat-Ableitventil an, das derart „überfl üs-sige“ Mengen während des Verfahrens einfach aus dem Behälter auslaufen lässt BEVOR die Vakuumtrocknung beginnt.

Doch auch was seit Jahrzehnten gut ist kann noch besser werden: das neue, druckgesteu-erte Kondensatventil PCD034 (Patent ange-meldet) bietet die beschriebene Funktion mit erheblichen Verbesserungen:

■ Drucksteuerung: das im Behälter dichtend eingesetzte Ventil PCD034 öffnet den Ablauf ausschließlich in der Druckphase einer Dampf-sterilisation bei Drücken > 1,8 bar abs. – ist daher jetzt in 121°C (Pharmazie...) und 134 °C-Programmen gleichermaßen verwendbar!

■ 100 % Edelstahl – damit jetzt extrem korrosi-onsbeständig!

■ Hermetisch gekapselt, aber zerlegbar: somit schnell und einfach zu prüfen und zu reinigen.

■ Kompatibel mit allen SteriSet-Containern mit bisherigem Kondensatventil (seit 1993): bisherige Ventile können 1:1 ausgetauscht werden.

Specifi cally sterilization of heavy loads – but also poor steam quality – are known to increase the probability, that after program end condensation might remain in a sterile container (= wet pack).

For these cases WAGNER offers since more than 20 years a special, temperature activated condensation drain valve which can drain such “superfl uent” liquids during the cycle before the vacuum load dryness phase even starts.

Yet also what proofed to be good for decades can be upgraded to the better: the new pres-sure controlled drain valve PCD034 (patents pending) offers the described function with sophisticated improvements:

■ Pressure control: The sealingly inserted valve opens the bottom drainage exclusively in the pressure phases of a steam steriliza-tion cycle, at pressures > 1,8 bar abs. – can so now be used in 121 °C (pharma!) as well as 134 °C programs.

■ 100 % stainless steel – so now extremely corrosion resistant!

■ Encapsulated yet dismountable – there-with easy and fast to check and clean.

■ Compatible with all SteriSet drain style containers produced since 1993: their drain valves can anytime be exchanged 1:1 against a new PCD034.

Drainage of condensation straight to the point

L’eau de condensation est évacuée avec une technique mise au point

Il est probable que, en raison d’une charge lourde des conteneurs mais aussi en raison d’une mauvaise qualité de vapeur lors du processus de stérilisation, il reste encore de l’eau de condensation dans le conteneur après la fi n du programme.

C’est particulièrement pour de tels cas que WAGNER offre depuis plus de 20 ans un pur-geur thermique spécial avec une commande de température, qui permet d’évacuer l’eau de condensation résiduelle pendant le processus de stérilisation avant que la phase de séchage commence.

Mais même une technique éprouvée depuis des décennies peut être perfectionnée : le nouveau purgeur à commande de pression PCD034 (breveté) qui est contrôlé par pression offre les fonctions déjà expliquées, mais avec des améliorations considérables :

■ Commande de pression : le purgeur PCD034 encastré de manière hermétique dans le conteneur ne s’ouvre que dans la phase de pression d’une stérilisation à vapeur à une pression de > 1,8 bar abs. – ainsi, on peut l’utiliser lors des program-mes 121°C (pharmacie...) et aussi lors des programmes 134 °C.

■ 100 % acier inoxydable et ainsi extrême-ment résistant à la corrosion.

■ Encapsulé de manière hermétique, mais encore démontable – permet un contrôle et un nettoyage simple et rapide.

■ Compatible avec tous les conteneurs SteriSet qui disposent encore des purgeurs thermiques version 1993 : les anciens pur-geurs thermiques peuvent simplement être remplacés par le nouveau purgeur pression PCD034.

Fazit: Das neue druckgesteuerte Kondensatventil PCD 034 mit dem blauen Punkt setzt in Punkto Sicherheit und Prüfbarkeit neue Maßstäbe, ist universeller einsetzbar (auch in 121 °C Pharma-Programmen...) und in Punkto Korrosion quasi unverwüstlich.

Conclusion: The new “blue dot” pressure controlled drain sets new standards in respect to safety and cleanability, is more universally applicable (also in 121 °C programs) and with regards to corrosion almost indestructible.

Conclusion: le nouveau purgeur à commande de pression PCD 034 avec son « point bleu » établit de nouveaux critères en matière de sécurité et de contrôle, il est plus adapté (aussi utilisable pour les programmes-pharma 121°C) et en ce qui concerne la corrosion, ce purgeur est très résistant et presque indestructible.

Sie dienen zur Aufnahme von OP- oder Stations-instrumenten wie auch porösen Gütern während der Vakuum-Dampfsterilisation und zur Sterilitäts erhaltung wäh rend Lagerung und Transport unter sachgerechten Kranken-hausbedingungen.

KleinSet im Schutzdeckel KonzeptDie wichtigste Eigenschaft einer Steril ver-packung ist – neben der Eignung zur effek-tiven Sterilisation – die Bewahrung der ein-mal erreichten Sterilität bis zum Zeitpunkt des Öffnens.

Die neue Generation KleinSet-Container ist daher – wie der „große Bruder“ – per Design „geschlossen“: Im Gegensatz zu Sterilisationspapier oder zu Containern mit Löchern im Deckel/Boden – werden die Biobarrieren (Filter oder Ventile; Dichtun gen) während der Lagerung und des Transports vor Einflüssen, die den Erhalt der Sterilität gefährden könnten, sicher geschützt:

◆ Schutz vor mechanischer Verletzung während des Transports

◆ Schutz vor Kondensateinregnung oder Durchfeuchtung

◆ Schutz vor Staubbelastung während des Transports, der Lagerung sowie des aseptischen Öffnens.

Der Innendeckel ist trennbar vom äußeren Schutzdeckel, wird jedoch gemeinsam mit diesem von der Wanne abgenommen.

Die Wannen der SteriSet KleinSet-Container sind standard mäßig unperforiert (nahtlos tiefgezogenes, eloxiertes Alumini um). Sie eignen sich aufgrund der exzellenten Wärme-speicher- und -leitfähigkeit des Werkstoffes Alumini um ausgezeichnet für die Sterilisati-on von chirurgischen Instrumenten.

The SteriSet SmallSet-Container-SystemSteriSet SmallSet-Containers are reusable sterilizing containers made of metal. They are designed to hold operating theater instruments and/or porous materials during the vacuum-steam sterilization process and to maintain sterility during storage and transport under proper hospital conditions.

SmallSet-Containers with double lid design Besides from the requirement to permit the effective sterilization of the packaged devices, a sterile packaging system shall provide suitable protection to avoid the ingress of microorganism and such maintain sterility – once it was reached – until the point of use.

The new generation of SteriSet SmallSet-Containers do there fore introduce the “protective lid design“: an unperforated outer lid protects the real biobarriers – unlike perforated filter holders or disposable materials – against harmful influence during trans port and handling procedures:

◆ protection against mechanical perforation of the barriers

◆ protection against direct contact of humidity or droplets

◆ protection against dust sedimentation on the barriers during storage and handling (which is important for aseptic presentation)

Inner- and outer lid can easily be disas-sembled, but are handled as one piece when opening the SmallSet.

SteriSet SmallSet bottoms are seamless punched and unper forated (anodized aluminum). Because of the excellent thermal storage capacity and -conductivity of aluminum, these types are suitable for sterilization of surgical instruments.

Tamper proof sealingWithout any doubt sterility is broken when a container is opened. This may turn out to become a risk if already opened containers – opened for example by mistake or unrecognized – could be merged with still sterile containers.The “state of the art” does therefore require means to avoid “unrecognized opening” i.e. means to indicate the opening.All SteriSet SmallSet-Containers may therefore be sealed by use of disposable plastic tamper seals which are applied manually before sterilization and destroyed manually when opening the container.

SteriSet Ventil-Container werden automatisch, durch die Druckwechsel im Sterilisator gesteuert und erfordern keine Verbrauchsmaterialien. Es kann nichts vergessen werden (Filter-wechsel, Filterintervall), man spart Kosten, Zeit und Abfall.

Filters or sterilization valves?SteriSet containers are available in either the single-use paper filter version or the patented reusable valve version. The SteriSet containers with a valve are automatically controlled by means of a pressure change in the sterilizer and require no additional materials. Nothing can be forgotten (filter change, filter spacing), time and money are saved and waste is reduced.

Ein System bestehend aus vertikalen Leiterele-menten wird höhenverstellbar mit horizon-talen Steckschienen bestückt und bildet ein Trägersystem für Sterilisierbehälter (auf Schwerlasteinschüben), Sterilgut-Körben, -Wannen und/oder Lagerungsebenen.

Das Trägersystem kann sowohl in Regalen und Regalwagen wie auch in Schränken und Schrankwagen eingebaut werden. Allen Lösungen gemeinsam ist eine hohe Variabilität, eine möglichst einfache und si-chere Handhabung (easy to handle Design) und eine solide und haltbare Konstruktion und Verarbeitung.

The Steriset Storage- and Transportation SystemWith a few basic elements WAGNER offers a universal fl exible storage- and transporta-tion system for sterile material. A system composed of vertical ladder elements stocked with height adjustable horizontal stack-rails is building a basic porter-system for sterilization containers (on sliding frames) sterile baskets, trays and/or shelf space.

The basic porter system can be used in open shelf and shelf carts and also in closed cupboard and cabinet trolleys. All solutions together offer a high variability, a simple and safe handling and a durable construction and good workmanship.

Le système de stockage et de transport SterisetWAGNER vous propose un système de stockage et de transport universel pour bandes stériles que vous pouvez adapter à chaque configuration à partir de quelques modules de base. Le système se compose d’éléments verticaux (échelles) sur lesquels viennent s’emboîter des éléments horizon-taux (glissières), réglables en hauteur, pour former un support pour conteneurs de sté-rilisation (sur tirettes pour charges lourdes), paniers ou bacs pour produits stériles et / ou étagères de rangement.

Le système support peut être conçu aussi bien en module ouvert (étagère et chariot étagère) que fermé (armoire et chariot ar-moire). Toutes les solutions se caractérisent par leur grande variabilité, leur utilisation la plus simple et sûre possible (concept spé-cial manutention aisée) et leur construction et finition à la fois solides et durables.
